Training Opportunities:

One of the main purposes of the Maui County Health Volunteers is to have a group of trained people who know each other and have experience working together, ready to assist in the event of a disaster.
To this aim, we offer a wide range of trainings, non-emergency volunteer opportunities, and mock emergency scenarios for members to "practice" skills related to emergency response.
Some of these are required, some recommended, and others purely optional.

There are two required trainings that are offered online by FEMA. You may take these at home and forward the certificates to us, or you may come into our office to use our computers (call to arrange a time). The websites for the two classes have been recently changed to the following:
